Belmont/Redwood Shores Elementary School District
Belmont schools support optimum academic achievement for all students with a challenging, comprehensive and balanced curriculum and instructional program. The District has well defined standards in the CORE areas of math, science, English/language arts, history/social science, visual performing arts and family life education.
Services include computer and science labs, instrumental and vocal music and assessment for special education eligibility. An after school sports program for grades 6-8 and the child care program at elementary schools provide additional support for the children of the Belmont/Redwood Shores Elementary School District. Special classes are provided for students identified as gifted who are learning English as a second language and for teaching
handicapped students.

Located in central San Mateo County in the city of Belmont, Carlmont High School serves 2,160 students in grades nine through twelve. A credentialed and classified staff of 145 supports Carlmont students. Carlmont is part of the Sequoia Union High School District which includes four comprehensive and one continuation high school. Notre Dame de Namur University
Notre Dame de Namur University is an independent Catholic, coeducational institution serving nearly 1600 students. It is the fifth oldest institution of higher education in California and was the first college for women authorized to offer baccalaureate degrees.
